Information ImBright may receive
ImBright may receive information that you choose to provide by email or through another contact method. This may include your name, email address, organization, the subject of your inquiry, and the content of your message.
This static website does not currently offer user accounts or an on-site payment form. Like most websites, the hosting provider may automatically process basic technical information such as an IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, and date or time of access for security and operational purposes.
How information may be used
ImBright may use information to respond to messages, provide requested information, understand support or partnership needs, administer programs, improve resources, maintain website security, keep appropriate organizational records, and meet legal obligations.
Information submitted in a support request is used to understand the request and provide an appropriate educational or skill-based response. Email is not a secure or urgent communication channel, so visitors should share only what they are comfortable sending by email.
When information may be shared
ImBright does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate communications, website hosting, storage, or nonprofit administration, when reasonably necessary and subject to appropriate expectations of confidentiality.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate misuse, or with the person’s direction or consent. ImBright does not publicly identify support seekers, donors, or community contacts without appropriate permission.
Retention and security
Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was received, organizational recordkeeping, dispute resolution, security, or legal compliance. Retention periods may vary by the type of communication or record.
ImBright uses reasonable administrative and technical practices appropriate to a small nonprofit. No method of email, storage, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask ImBright to correct or delete information you previously provided, subject to legal, security, and recordkeeping requirements. You may also ask how your information has been used. Send requests to hello@imbright.org.
Children’s privacy
The general website is intended for a broad audience and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children. A parent, guardian, school, or youth-serving organization should contact ImBright before a minor submits personal information or participates in a program that requires registration.
Policy changes and contact
This policy may be updated as the website, programs, vendors, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material updates are published.
Privacy questions may be sent to hello@imbright.org. ImBright is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
